Fauji ka Ghar
Home is where the heart is; this is an age-old adage, but when you ask an Indian soldier, he would often say everywhere because for a fauji home is not a brick-and-mortar building, a street, a city, or even a neighbourhood.
Defence and everything it stands for is home for a Fauji. It's where he hears the trumpet in the early morning, marches in unison with his fellow Faujis, and takes pride in the life he has lived so far as a Fauji.
It is the cantonment and his uniform. Home is where the defence sends him, plain and simple. Everything else is just a home away from a real home.
Developing a sense of community and forming strong bonds is second nature to any Indian Fauji, and he knows that this will continue even after he enters civil society.
On average, Fauji personnel retire quite young, and during their service, they are always on the move, giving them limited time for real estate projects available in the market. He refuses to return to his small town after retirement. Moreover, the Fauj gives him a new way of living by making him more disciplined and exposing him to various situations, people, and circumstances.
Another significant advantage of being a Fauji is that he lives in many parts of the country and understands that area's culture, history and geography. It helps him decide where he would like to have his own home.
But then the question comes how he is going to find that house? He is always on the run and often has limited access to real estate products available in the market. Being a Fauji, time is a precious resource, and he often puts his well-being and family on the back foot to focus on his military duties.
In short, after retirement, Fauji's first responsibility is to find a place to live with his family. So, if you are a Fauji, here is a
Checklist for you to buy a home for you and your family
Cross-checking- When it comes to paperwork, always cross-check about the authenticity of developers, understand the market value, previous projects of that developer, time duration of his delivered project, and locality of the project. (A RERA certificate is a legal document that proves that a property, project, or property agent has been registered under state-level RERA authority or tribunal. Read about it, check about the areas in the vicinity, and check whether the builder's firm is RERA registered or not.
Fauji Pariwar - Fauji can leave Fauj, but he can never leave his Fauji pariwar, and why not, being a Fauji, you have spent so much time away from civil society; when you return to settle, you crave familiarity, you would like to stay near your Fauji family.
Connectivity to basic amenities- Being a Fauji, you retire at a young age; your children are frequently still in school, and even you would require post-service employment. Keeping all of these factors in mind, you need to select sites that provide good career prospects for you as ex-servicemen and better school facilities for your children.
Tax benefit- As a Fauji personnel, you are also eligible for various tax incentives under various laws designed specifically for the armed forces. For example, the Maharashtra government has decided to exempt all former servicemen in the jurisdiction of urban local bodies across the state from paying property tax.
Loan facility- Nationalised banks provide special home loan schemes to honour your contribution as a Fauji in serving the nation. Being from the defence, you will also benefit from lower interest rates on your house loan, more flexible repayment options and the possibility of receiving a longer repayment period too.

The world is getting increasingly casual,
the norms of commitment are getting lost,
the real narrative of human emotions
is getting depicted by numbers and sizes.
The social fabric needs a stitch of
care, love, perfection and relationship.
People need to feel the human touch,
a bit of attention and
a sense of belonging.
So that you feel a feeling that feels like a feeling.
